Manufacturing

Eliot started designing and wholesaling products (which sold in local shopping malls) when he was 14 years old.  He completed vocational training in furniture manufacturing and worked in the industry while concurrently founding and working in an auto restoration shop with a partner.  Eliot moved into metal working completing a 4-year Toolmaker’s Apprenticeship Program and as a Certified Toolmaker has designed and built special machines, jigs, tools and fixtures.  He then moved into sales and marketing, management and ultimately became co-owner of Plasma-Tec, Inc. a successful Grand Rapids Michigan manufacturing company he helped to build.

Product Development

In 1986 Eliot relocated to Southern California and started developing his ideas on a full-time basis.  He has fully developed and marketed his own ideas and innovations as well as licensed them.  His products have been sold through DRTV, live TV (QVC / HSN), Internet, major catalogs, DR print, major retailers, etc.  He has been on national and local TV and radio shows promoting his products and being interviewed about the invention process.  He is the former president of the Inventors Forum, which at that time was one of the Nation's largest non-profit inventor support organizations of its kind.  He has conducted hundreds of seminars and workshops and has written several inventor assistance manuals.  He developed and executed the successful "Great Invention Show" for the Inventor's Forum and the Orange County Fair in Southern California.  Eliot has over 3 decades of experience relating to product design, development and manufacturing.

Fitness

Eliot’s hobby is martial arts.  He’s a black belt instructor with 20+ years of experience in Judo, Hwa Rang Do and freestyle martial arts.  As a youth he won 2 Bronze Medals in the Jr. Olympics for Judo and throughout the years, Eliot placed 1st through 3rd in multiple martial arts competitions.  He has trained in a wide variety of traditional gyms, dojos and dojangs using and testing the full range of fitness equipment and innovations available.  Eliot currently has 6 fitness innovations (2 martial arts) in various stages of development.  All have been licensed to DRTV marketing companies.  Only 2 were released at the Electronic Retailing Association’s Vegas Trade Show and both won the ERA award for Best Potential Long Form Product; and both were subsequently licensed some of the most successful DRTV marketing companies.

Registration starts at 7:00 P.M. and the seminar starts at 7:30 P.M. and lasts about 90 minutes. Refreshments are served in the lobby at 9:00 P.M. where you can network with other inventors.
