Speaker's Series 2017
Our Patent System
& The Courts
Why "1st to file" hurts the small inventor & other legislation that works against innovation in the U.S.
About the Speaker
Paul Morinville is one of the founders of US Inventor, a 501c4 nonprofit inventor advocacy firm. They helped stop the Innovation Act and are actively working to push new legislation to correct what they consider to be errant Supreme Court decisions and the AIA. They have about 11,000 members who are inventors, startups execs and people interested in the reform of the patent system.
We'll have a panel to discuss the issue after the presentation with Paul Morinville, James Kirk, and a partner from One3IP.Open to non-members @ UCI's Applied Innovation (The Cove) in "the Beach" meeting room.
