Please come and attend the Inventor's Forum Meeting for an Interactive Discussion with John Shepherd this Friday, July 13th.
John began his career as a machinist in the 1950’s. He was drafted into the military and returned to manufacturing in 1961. He worked in manufacturing while making his way through college and became a high school teacher. He then taught in the Manufacturing Technology and Drafting Departments at Mt. San Antonio College for 31 years.
During his teaching career he also worked at a surgical instrument manufacturer as CAD Drafter, CNC Programmer, Tool Designer, Manufacturing Engineer, and Senior Drafter. One of the surgical instruments that John helped design during that time was later issued a patent. As part of his presentation, John will reflect on changes he has seen in manufacturing technology over the past 60 years.

WHEN: These meetings are held on the 2nd Friday of the month.
COST: $5.00 per person
Gather at 6:30, meeting starts at 7:00. We will wind down at 8:30 and be out before 9:00.

FEE: Door fees are $5 for members. Non-members can join at the door. Initial membership fees are $50 per year, and half price ($25) for seniors 65+, full time students and disabled. UCI Students are $12.50. IF does not take credit cards at the meeting. Please, no large denomination bills.
NOTES: Everyone must sign a confidentiality agreement. Inventor presentations with feedback from the whole group are first. Inventors can then meet in smaller groups or network with other inventors where they can get specific help with their inventions. We'll be implementing a new format in 2016.
We are a non-profit group with no paid positions and the success of the group is totally dependent on what YOU bring to the meetings. So please share any helpful information you have. The hard working volunteers who keep IF going appreciate any and all assistance.
